I’ve finally decided on a storage solution in my boy’s room. I was really getting tired of all the open storage solutions in there. It was rather stressful cleaning his room, because everything was always visible.
This Sunday my husband (and I, I did help) got some Method wall cabinets from Ikea in different sizes. A few years back, I saved a few pictures with kitchen cabinets used in a boy’s room. I loved the solution then, and I haven’t found one quite as good since. So now I guess it was time to put it in to action in my own home.
Another advantage about picking this solution is that I can always style his room according to his age. I’ve been wanting to create some solutions that’ll grow with him. Then I can just change the smaller things in there to fit his age.
This is what the room that inspired me looked like in the beginning. It was pretty much the look I was going for. It’s the perfect way to hide all the toys and clothes, and it adds a much calmer effect to the whole room. The next two photos, I want to show you, are from a styling Riikka and Emma did for the Danish brand ferm living. The room is still the same, but by changing the smaller interior pieces in the room, it looks like a different room. This is the kind of room I would love to work with, when it comes to matching my boy’s age.
So what do you think? Would you ever consider using kitchen wall cabinets in your kids’ room?
I’m in the middle of sorting and putting some of his stuff away. But I’ll show you some pictures when the wall is done. Do remember to check out Espresso Moments on Instagram – I might put up a picture or two there as well.

These days I can’t stop thinking about buying a light box. It’s super cute, and I’m thinking about getting one for my boy. We’ve been doing a bit of re-decorating in his sister’s room lately, and he has been asking if we could make a few changes in his room as well. We’re planning a few major changes in there, but we’re not planning on doing them right now, so a few new (and smaller) things might do the trick for now.

I’ve been browsing Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration, and the more I see the more I want to buy one. If you are interested check out this #lightbox or Pinterest.
I think the whole family will enjoy writing small sayings and greetings, and the light box can be used all around our home. You know me, I love buying things, which I can use all around our home, when I get tired of it in one room.
I’ve found a light box from A Little Lovely Company. Looking through all the pictures, I came to the conclusion that I need more letters. I’ve found some really cute ones, and with different sets of letters the light box can be used around the house even more. I think I’ll go with the basic set, the set with numbers and symbols and the celebrations symbols.

This year my husband and I have invited my whole family for Easter lunch.
Since my grandfather passed away last Christmas, I wanted the whole family to get together even more. We’re the only ones left, and I want us to stay close and be in each others lives. Not a day goes by where I don’t think about my grandfather – I miss him so much – but this way I know he and my grandmother would be proud.
I’m trying to plan which dishes to make, but I’ve still got a long way to go. Instead I started looking at DIY projects for Easter. I know the kids will love making hama bunny’s and decorate Easter eggs.
I’ve collected some of my favourite Easter DIY projects. I hope you and your family will have a fun time while making decorations for the Easter table.
For more Easter inspiration you can always visit my Easter board on Pinterest. I’ll collect many more ideas there in the coming days. So stay tuned for even more Easter fun.

Do you remember the super cute bag from Zara, which I showed you in this post? The one from their ss16 girls collection. Well, I went back a few days later to find out that it was sold out.
A few days later, I still thought about the bag, and I went back. This time it was back in stock, and I hit ‘Buy’ so fast, you wouldn’t believe it. Now I’m waiting for it to arrive.
And no, I didn’t buy it for my girl, I hope that I can use it as a small bag myself. If not, then I’m pretty sure she’ll be more than willing to take it off my hands and use it herself.
Today, I’m in need of some family home inspiration.
It’s one of those horrible days. The kids didn’t sleep well, and neither did the parents. Everyone is way too tired to function normally. On top of it, they are both coughing, and it can go both ways. How are you holding up these days?
So today, I really need some inspiration, and later I really need to cuddle and do nothing at all with the kids.
I’ll leave you with a beautiful family home, which I find quite interesting. I like the simplicity of the interior, the black, white, grey scale mixed with a lot of green plants. After the night we’ve had, I’m seriously considering buying a larger bed, or placing a bed for either my husband or me in my boy’s room. I’m really inspired by the one in this family home.
It seems like the never ending story around here. When you think you’re done with the kids’ rooms, then it’s almost time to start re-decorating again.
Okay, I’m partly to blame, I know. I tend to find cool new solutions, and then I want to implement some of them in their rooms.
But apart from my ideas, we haven’t found the right storage solution either. We keep trying new things, but after a while, we get tired of it. It’s either too big, too small, too (insert word), I’m sure we’ve tried it all.
The beds are another problem. It would be so practical if our daughter had a bigger bed, with storage underneath. A cool solution for our son’s room would be a bed like the one in this apartment. It would create the space he needs on the floor, and he would have a nook underneath, where he could have a TV or something similar.
