My boy is growing up fast. A few months back, an older boy we know said that he could now see that my boy was getting older. It was just after my boy had turned six years old, and he started asking for more Lego among other things. Shopping for his Christmas gifts this year only made me more aware of the fact that my boy is more attuned to what is out there. He’s more specific about what he wants to add to his wishlist.
This year it’s all about Star Wars. Apart from the Lego Star Wars things, which I’ve written a post about right here, I’ve got a few other things in mind for him this Christmas.
I’ve already got the cool Empire Strikes Back poster from the Etsy shop Handz. If my boy likes it, as much as I do, I’m thinking about getting the other two as well. I’m waiting for a frame for the poster, but I’ll show you as soon as I get it framed. Keep an eye out for it on Instagram.

I’ve bought these gifts for my girl for the four Sunday’s of Advent this year. The reason why I didn’t write numbers on them, as I did with the Advent gifts for my son in this post, is because I haven’t quite decided what to give her on each Sunday.
Well the first Sunday is pretty easy. She’ll get her cubebot/ninjabot the same day as her brother. That way they can play with them together. I bought a bunch of stuff from Hay while I was attending the course in Aarhus earlier this year. A bunch of pink stuff for her room, which I know she’ll love. I haven’t decided if all the pink stuff should be one gift or several.
She has been reading her “This is London” book, and we wanted to give her a few more books in English. When I found “This is the world”, I bought it right away. I love the illustrations in these books, and we’ve been reading them to her for years. If all else fails, I’ve also got a tube scarf that I have to finish before Christmas. It could end up being her more practical gift.
I just couldn’t help but share this über cute winter wonderland that you can make with your kids this Christmas. It’s perfect for a Sunday DIY project while drinking a nice cup of hot chocolate together. Find more information and the template right here.
I’ve bought these four Advent gifts for my son this year. He’s become quite fascinated by the whole Star Wars universe, and he has an amazing ability to play for hours with one or two things. That is why I had to buy the two Lego Star Wars figures. I decided on Darth Wader and Luke Skywalker, because he can build them again and again. I’ll wrap them up and give them to him on the second and third Sunday of Advent. On the first Sunday of Advent we won’t be home, so we need to bring the present with us. Therefore, I picked out a cute cubebot/Ninjabot from Areaware, which I know he’ll love. Lastly, I went all practical as well. I bought a set of night wear from Molo as well.
What did you buy for your kids this year?
I’m really fascinated by this Swedish home, which I found on Stadshem. Just take a look at the bedroom. What an amazing room!
I love the black ‘wall’ separating the two beds from each other. It’s the perfect way to create two rooms in one. I’ll be looking into a similar solution for our home that’s for sure. And what a perfect workspace as well. I would love to work from home and looking out on the trees.
The bunk bed is wonderful. I’ll show it to my daughter when she gets home, because on top of her wishlist is a bunk bed. This one is perfect for inspiration. The rest of the home is also quite breathtaking. I hope you’ll enjoy the tour and hopefully get inspired just like I did.
Have a wonderful day <3
A few days ago I showed you some pretty cool DIY Advent Calendars in this post. Today, I want to show you a few more. While picking out which ones to show you here on Espresso Moments, I regretted not sticking to my original plan and buy a little something for each day before Christmas Eve. But done is done, and I’ll never talk my husband into doing it anyway. But next year, I’ll have a lot of inspiration to pick from.
I hope you’ve picked one to make for your kids – if so please share it with me – either in a comment or on Instagram (I’m @espressomoments there). I would love to see what you’ve done this year.
Have a lovely day <3
