I’ve bought these gifts for my girl for the four Sunday’s of Advent this year. The reason why I didn’t write numbers on them, as I did with the Advent gifts for my son in this post, is because I haven’t quite decided what to give her on each Sunday.
Well the first Sunday is pretty easy. She’ll get her cubebot/ninjabot the same day as her brother. That way they can play with them together. I bought a bunch of stuff from Hay while I was attending the course in Aarhus earlier this year. A bunch of pink stuff for her room, which I know she’ll love. I haven’t decided if all the pink stuff should be one gift or several.
She has been reading her “This is London” book, and we wanted to give her a few more books in English. When I found “This is the world”, I bought it right away. I love the illustrations in these books, and we’ve been reading them to her for years. If all else fails, I’ve also got a tube scarf that I have to finish before Christmas. It could end up being her more practical gift.
I just couldn’t help but share this über cute winter wonderland that you can make with your kids this Christmas. It’s perfect for a Sunday DIY project while drinking a nice cup of hot chocolate together. Find more information and the template right here.
I’ve bought these four Advent gifts for my son this year. He’s become quite fascinated by the whole Star Wars universe, and he has an amazing ability to play for hours with one or two things. That is why I had to buy the two Lego Star Wars figures. I decided on Darth Wader and Luke Skywalker, because he can build them again and again. I’ll wrap them up and give them to him on the second and third Sunday of Advent. On the first Sunday of Advent we won’t be home, so we need to bring the present with us. Therefore, I picked out a cute cubebot/Ninjabot from Areaware, which I know he’ll love. Lastly, I went all practical as well. I bought a set of night wear from Molo as well.
What did you buy for your kids this year?
A few days ago I showed you some pretty cool DIY Advent Calendars in this post. Today, I want to show you a few more. While picking out which ones to show you here on Espresso Moments, I regretted not sticking to my original plan and buy a little something for each day before Christmas Eve. But done is done, and I’ll never talk my husband into doing it anyway. But next year, I’ll have a lot of inspiration to pick from.
I hope you’ve picked one to make for your kids – if so please share it with me – either in a comment or on Instagram (I’m @espressomoments there). I would love to see what you’ve done this year.
Have a lovely day <3

I’m the kind of person, who likes to be on top of things. Therefore, I like to get an early start when it comes to planning the advent calendar for the kids each year.
This year we decided that they wouldn’t get a gift every day of December. Instead we wanted to give them a bigger gift each Sunday. I’ll do another post where I show you what I’ve bought for each of my kids.
In this post, I want to show you some of my favourite and most creative advent calendars that I’ve seen online. Hopefully, you’ll get inspired to make one of these?

Right now I’m going a bit Christmas crazy. I cannot decide wether or not to buy a chocolate calendar for myself. I’ve been looking at a few different kinds of Christmas candy. I really think the Christmas Decorations from Johan Bülow are genius. The fact that the Bronce one is salty caramel choc coated liquorice, well all I can say is that I have to have one of these.
