Oh, how I simply love December. I love the decoration, buying gifts and the gift wrapping – well, I actually think I love that most of all. This year, I’m super busy, but I try to sneak in a bit of Christmas spirit here and there. Unfortunately, our trip to Hamburg didn’t bring out the Christmas spirit this year – not like it used to anyway. The Christmas markets were closed and were to open a few days after we left the city. Bad planning – that’s all I can say. So instead, I’ve found some really cute Christmas decorations – some I’ve already got, and some I would love to add to our home.
Today we celebrate the first day of advent, and if you’re not ready yet, might I suggest these cute candles from Södahl. This year I added the cool grey and white trees to my rather big selection of trees. I don’t know what it is about them, I just love the winter wonderland feeling about Christmas decorations. I simply love the x-mas led lamp – and would be so thrilled to add it to my Christmas collection. On a smaller scale, the black Christmas decoration would be in our living room, or on the Christmas tree. Last but not least, my absolute favorite new trend when it comes to Christmas decor. Don’t you just love Christmas balls in all shapes and sizes? Just do a quick search online and you’ll find the most amazing ones.
I’ve been thinking about adding some recurring posts here on Espresso Moments again. Therefore, meet Favourite Finds. I want it to have more of a magazine feel to is, so I’ll be experimenting with some different layouts and content during the next couple of months. I hope you like it. Today, I’m going to share some favourite summer items with you.

One of the things I love the most about summer is picking out books for my summer reading list. The last couple of years I’ve taken the time to read more books. I had a period in my life where I never picked up a book, and I realised that I needed books in my life to relax and feel inspired and happy. Now I’m always in the middle of a book or finishing one – and I love it. As soon as I read the last word on the last page I go to my bookshelf and pick out the next one. I also keep a page in my notebook just for book titles that I would love to check out. Then once in a while, I go online and read more about the books on my list. Some of them then end up in my home and some I delete. But I always keep a list. How do you keep track of the books you want to read?

These are some of the books currently on my wishlist. I always check out Instagram, The New York Times book section, Amazon, and Pinterest when I start to browse for new books. I always find it inspiring to see what others are reading right now. Lately, I’ve actually been looking at Reese Witherspoon’s Bookclub account on Instagram for inspiration. I hope these 9 books have inspired you to go and check out some of them and that you’ll get the time to read a book or two this summer. I know I’ll be waiting for some of these books to arrive in the mail within the next couple of days. Let me know if there’s a must-read-book that’s missing from my list. I’m sure you get what kind of genre I’m into by now.
We won’t have time to celebrate Mother’s Day this year. Both kids will be playing soccer and one of them has to get up way early to help serve breakfast for the many tournament participants or clean up after them. For the past years, it has been a fantastic weekend filled with good people, sunshine and lots of kids playing soccer.
But a girl can dream, right? That is why I’ve decided to collect a few things from my wishlist – just in case someone needs inspiration. And if I’m not the lucky receiver, then I hope I can inspire you instead.

Here’s a little helping hand for those in my family reading – and the rest of you can use this list as inspiration or shopping list if you please.
Molekyl – the most amazing candle holder to hit the shops in a long time.
Miild Organic Mineral Bronzing Powder – This one has been on my wishlist for quite some time. Let’s go shopping family 😉

A new stand for my MacBook Pro – I really need to take better care of my body, and on top of my list is a stand and a new Magic keyboard along with a Magic Trackpad 2.
Pink Marc Jacobs Mini Grind Crossbody Bag – I love everything about this bag.
Coffee Box of Samples from The Barn Coffee Roasters – I absolutely love love love when I have coffee from this place in my own home.
Miild Organic Mineral Concealer Duo – Along with the Bronzing Powder this would be perfect in my bag.
My husband and I just returned from yet another fantastic trip to Hamburg. I wanted to share a few where, when and what’s with you from our latest trip. We often stay in a flat, but almost always in the St. Pauli area.
Where to stay ➳ We stayed at east
Where to get your cup of coffee ➳ I would highly recommend you check out Nord Coast Coffee Roastery and less political (Hermetic coffee roasters)
When to visit the city ➳ Every single day of the year – we’ve been there spring, summer, fall and winter.
Where to get a decent burger and sweet potato fries ➳ Check out Brooklyn Burger Bar and Otto’s Burger (Try the salted caramel shake!)
Where to find food trucks ➳ Street food session Yum!
Where to shop ➳ Get away from the high streets – and explore all the cool little shops. This time I bought quite a few things in Kauf Dich Glücklich
Where to eat pizza (to die for) ➳ Das Mehl – we went there in November and loved every bite of pizza – I hope they’ll find a new location soon
What to do on a rainy day ➳ Visit Miniature Wunderland – it’s not just for kids – adults will love it too
Have a fantastic day xoxo
I’ve got one more thing I want to share with you today, besides from my Easter egg craving, which I wrote about in my previous post today. Last weekend, I came across this beautiful family home in Sweden. I really love some of the ideas, like the grey stools. I’ve got some from Ikea that would look great in different shades of grey. The kid’s room os also pretty cool, if you ask me. They’ve found some cool toys for that kid.
