As time goes by…

Wow, time goes by so fast. It’s been eight days since my last post. I’ve been so busy and trying to get rid of a terrible cold, all at the same time. The last couple of days, I’ve headed straight to bed a few minutes after the kids were asleep – just trying to hang in there. I’m still tired, walking around with a terrible headache all the time, and coughing all day long.

My head is spinning with decorating ideas for our new place. And the latest issue of BoligMagasinet inspired me a lot. And luckily, I found a few of my favourite pictures via La Maison d’Anna G.

The yellow door

There it is – so full of life and reminding you of summer. The yellow door. Don’t you wonder what’s behind that door? I do.

To me doors are not just doors. There is a story behind every door. And I cannot help but wonder what the story is about this door and what is behind it. Even though it might ‘just’ be the bathroom. Why did the owner pick this door?

Apart from the yellow door, which I dream of having one day, I find this Swedish apartment quite interesting. Just look at all the wonderful lamps. The beautiful Alvar Alto chairs and the Eames Hang it All. This place will stay in my mind for quite some time, I’m pretty sure of that. This one I’ll return to more than once, just to look at the details.

Sofia Coppola

I’m a big fan of Sofia Coppola. I even have this picture of her in my living room. It’s such a wonderful picture, and I’m so glad I kept it.

I find it interesting to see the homes of the people I admire. So it didn’t take long for me to have a look around Sofia’s New York home. I’m loving the view from all the windows.

Busy busy busy

I’ve been working from home since Tuesday afternoon because of a nasty cold. So, since I haven’t been outside much this past week, I feel a little stressed about all the things I need to take care of.

Today, my kids are enjoying themselves with my parents, so we’ve had a few hours to get some of the things out of the way. Right now, I’ve been asked to ‘leave’ the living room, so that my husband can work in peace. He’s hanging up the String system. So here I am blogging.

I’ve found this interesting flat a while ago, but as you might have noticed, I haven’t blogged much lately. But I still want to share it with you guys.

Since our living room is beginning to feel more like a home, I find myself searching for new things and ideas for my daughter’s corner of their shared room. She turns six in January, and she would like her space to mirror that. Long story short, I noticed the kid’s room in this apartment, and I got inspired. As a bonus, I’ve added a few pictures from some of the other rooms in the apartment.

A house in the City

My ideal living situation would be a cute little townhouse in the middle of the city. To me that would be the perfect mix of everything I love – the buzz from the city and the small garden. I’m always on the lookout for such a house. Hopefully, one day we’ll find the perfect match in terms of price and space. Until then, I’ll just dream and look at other lovely houses like this one in Stockholm.
