That’s how I feel. Yesterday, I came across some pretty cool prints. The first thing I saw was the Valentine’s Day Coasters on Oleander + palm – aren’t they super cool? Well, I fell in love at first sight. But I was too late for Valentine’s Day.
I know I missed the opportunity to make them for Valentine’s Day this year – and some might say that now is not the perfect timing to share this. However, I’m actually considering having them made now anyway. They would be super cool in my daughters room, and then I could borrow them from time to time. What do you think? You can download the prints for the coasters right here.
And since I started looking around, I found a few other cool things – which I’ll save for Valentine’s Day next year <3. How about the chocolate bar wraps – and of course it is the same cool design. And when you’re at it, why not throw in a card as well. If I can’t wait till next year’s Valentine’s Day, I might use it for our wedding anniversary.
Last week I promised to show you another black kitchen, with a wooden countertop, which I really love.
So here goes – hope you like it?

First of all, happy Valentine’s Day. I hope you get to spend the day with the one you love.
Today, I’ve got something small, but quite special for you. I’ve got 36 squaremeters of cool interior details for you.
Sometimes I wish I could do it all over again. By ‘it’ I mean live in a small apartment, living the life of a student and getting by with less. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t trade my family life for anything <3. But do you ever wonder, what might have happened, if you’d made a different decision along the way? How your life would have turned out. I always find lots of inspiration, when I look at these small one or two-bedroom apartments.
The one-room apartments are my favourite, because I love seeing how creative people are, when they have to work out how to create a functional home as well as an aesthetic home.
This 36 squaremeters apartment is a very good example. And the most important thing… it works brilliantly. I love how the sofa has been used to mark the relaxing zone. The darker wall, which marks the bedroom area is a perfect contrast to the otherwise white apartment.
This is the perfect inspiration for me right now. After two days filled with playdates, a sick daughter at home, the fact that my grandfather would have turned 90 years old today (I still miss him so so much every single day), a head filled with way too much information and things to think about… the list is long, but I’ll stop here. Well, I need and want to focus on something else.

Right now I’ve got a black kitchen craving. I know it’s not the time to renovate our kitchen, but I still love looking at beautiful kitchens for inspiration.
I’m leaning towards a black kitchen, primarily because the rest of our home is very white. The kitchen is the first thing you see, when you enter our home, so I would love for it to stand out a bit. Make a bit of a statement, and that’s why I’m thinking dark colors. And it fits perfectly with my black kitchen cravings. I pin a lot of pictures of different kitchens, but I always get super excited, when I find a beautiful black/or dark grey kitchen.
Then when I found this black kitchen, I was pretty happy. It contains many of the elements, which I love. Take the tiles for example. We’ve got similar tiles on our kitchen – the only thing I really like about our current kitchen. And then there is the black kitchen cabinets. I would change the kitchen countertops with wood instead. In a few days, I’ll show you another black kitchen with a wooden countertop.
On this wonderful Sunday, I’ve picked out a few cool finds, which I’ve found in different Etsy shops. This time I’ve selected things I would love to add to our own home. You can never get too many mugs, and the But first coffee mug, would be a cool mug for an office. I’m still adding plants to our home, and I loved the set of hex spora at first sight. Also, I’m never able to find doormats that I like, but the sparkle one is actually quite perfect.
I’ve been thinking about knitting a large blanket like the grey one. But I’m more tempted to buy it this time, and start knitting something else instead. The pillow case and the picture would look good in my cozy corner.

Lately, I’m really inspired by tiny interior details, when it comes to decorating your home.
I’ve always loved walking around town and spotting different interior details in the homes I walk by. My husband and I used to do it a lot before we had kids (not in a nosy kind of way, of course). I’m sure we’ll do it again soon, because the kids are growing up, and in the not so distant future, we might get the chance to walk hand in hand down the street more often – just the two of us.
Until then, I’ll enjoy the times we do, and browse the internet for even more inspiration. Take this home for example, I know it’s been done before, and some of you might even be tired of it by now. But I love the raw brick walls in this home. What is more, I love what they’ve done with it.
The fact that the kitchen and other spots around the home are so clean and minimalistic makes for the perfect raw element.
I’m drawn to this home, because I find some very beautiful solutions, which corresponds with my own taste, but I also find corners of this home, where I’m left thinking: Why on earth did they do that? That’s what I love most about getting a glimpse of how other people live and decorate.
