On this wonderful Sunday, I’ve picked out a few cool finds, which I’ve found in different Etsy shops. This time I’ve selected things I would love to add to our own home. You can never get too many mugs, and the But first coffee mug, would be a cool mug for an office. I’m still adding plants to our home, and I loved the set of hex spora at first sight. Also, I’m never able to find doormats that I like, but the sparkle one is actually quite perfect.
I’ve been thinking about knitting a large blanket like the grey one. But I’m more tempted to buy it this time, and start knitting something else instead. The pillow case and the picture would look good in my cozy corner.
I know I normally don’t write about movies here, but I was just watching the official trailer for the movie Me before you, based on the novel by Jojo Moyes. The novel had me weeping for quite some time. The last novel, which made me cry like this was A crack in forever by Jeannie Brewer, which you should read, if you haven’t already.
I have to see the movie, to see if it can live up to the book – it’ll be in cinemas June 3, 2016.
Last week I was inspired by the fashion industry. It all started when I found a very interesting book Love Style Life by Garance Doré. I’ve been reading about it here on sfgirlbybay, and I felt very inspired and had to read the book. It’s now on my wishlist – I don’t know how long I can keep it there without buying it.
Then a few days later, I came across a video on YouTube, where Alexa Chung reveals fashion industry secrets. If you’ve got an hour, you should check it out.
We’re half way into the first month of 2016. Have you made any changes in your life? Any New Years resolutions that you’re working on this year? Any 30-day challenges in your life right now?
I didn’t have time to think much about the new year because of family matters. However, I’m slowly getting the hang of 2016, and starting to explore life again.
I think I posted this picture sometime last year, but one of the things on my 2016 list is a more minimalist living. Truth is, I would benefit from doing all 30 days, and I plan to try it out soon.
Number 3 – Declutter your digital life – “Take care of your digital clutter today: Spring-clean your desktop, delete any files you don’t need anymore and set up a simple, no-fuss folder structure.” It would be the perfect way to kick off 2016.
Or how about number 5 – Identify your 3-6 main priorities – “Above all, minimalism is about figuring out what matters most to you in life and how to add more of that to your day-to-day routine. Today: Dig deep and make a list of your 3-6 top priorities in life.” More of that, please.
Feel like joining, then print out your own 30-day minimalist challenge sheet and read more here.
Another thing I want to try this year is a 3-day-juice-detox. Actually, todays is my very frist day – so wish me luck. Hopefully, I’ll make it till Monday morning without too much headache and cravings. I bought the whole package from a local firm called Juicery.
I’m off to drink my organic juice and to clean out my grandfather’s room along with the rest of my family.
Have a lovely Friday and don’t forget to hug and kiss the ones you love (a lot) before it’s too late <3
I was hoping for a quiet Sunday at home with both kids, my husband, Christmas music, Advent presents, glögg, gift wrapping, reading and maybe watch a Christmas movie. Hopefully, it turned out almost like that. We added a bit of redecorating and a brunch at a local cafe.
Last night I had planned to watch one of my favourite girlie Christmas movies – The Holiday (I had a bit of a crush on Jude Law back then) – with my daughter for the first time. She can read the subtitles now, and I promised her last year that she could watch it this year. But we got home a bit too late for her to stay awake during the whole movie. We decided to wait until next weekend.
So we’ll wait a bit longer before we kick off the holiday movie season. I’ve got a few more that I want to watch before Christmas. Which Christmas movies do you watch in December?
