TBT – Felicity

Felicity

Lately, I’ve been re-watching the 90s television show Felicity, starring Keri Russell as the young Felicity Porter, who follows a high school crush to New York City. I’m having so much fun watching this show again. I’m thrown back in time – and I’m finding myself considering if I’m a team Ben or a team Noel again (gotta love this love triangle).

You have to keep in mind that this show was before social media – and imagine the famous haircut scene – well, I was taken by surprise – big time back then – sitting there in my childhood home watching Felicity’s now short hair. Imagine that a haircut could turn into a popular culture reference in lots of other television shows. Check out the list on wikipedia  And what about the shapeless jeans and sweaters – gotta love (or hate) the 90s right? That said, I actually miss the old school phones sometimes. And the cassette recorder – it’s not quite the same on a mobile, is it?

Take a walk down memory lane an watch these clips:

If you’re interested in some more Felicity check out the Felicity reunion here – and if that’s not enough – then it’s time to start watching. Right now I’m half way through season 2.

So tell me, would you watch it again? What’s your favourite moment? Are you Team Ben or Team Noel? And what about that cute Simon Rex? Now I really feel like watching another episode. Take care and go watch it.

I’m in the mood for some online shopping…

Want Wear Need Read in September

Want wear need read September

Want – Even though my birthday was last month, I still have a few things left on my wishlist. I recently came across this beautiful snow globe which would be perfect for my office space. I simply love them, and a few years back we always bought a snow globe for our daughter, when we visited a new place. I found some really cute ones – I’m trying to decide between the more winter inspired collection or the zen collection.

Wear – I would love to wear these new pants to yoga – or simply at home after some television yoga.To top it off, I would add the cool grey sweater by Rebecca Minkoff. I’m trying to get back in the routine and would love for my daughter to join me on the mat. Right now I’m looking for a class for both of us.

Need – I really need a new bag. My everyday bag has seen better days. I’m on the lookout for something classic and black. I need a medium size bag for the stuff I carry around on a normal day. I’m trying to cut down on the stuff that I carry around in my bag – but that’s a whole other story. I’ve been looking at Rebecca Minkoff’s Regan Satchel Tote online, but I want to feel and have a look in the store before buying it – just to make sure.

Read – I’ve been wanting to read Milk and Honey all summer. Milk and Honey is a collection of poetry and prose about survival. About the experience of violence, abuse, love, loss, and femininity. Milk and Honey takes readers through a journey of the most bitter moments in life and finds sweetness in them because there is sweetness everywhere if you are just willing to look.

Urban Shopping with a tween

Shopping, shopping and more shopping. Later this year we’re going to Copenhagen with the kids. The first thing my daughter said was YES! then we can go to Urban Outfitters. She loves the store and she could easily buy the first 100 items there.

To kill time we hit the online shop for inspiration – and then she could make a wishlist of the things she would like to buy. Truth be told, I kind of like some of the things as well, so I don’t mind going in there with her, and a few of the things could end up on my wishlist as well. It’s the perfect mother-daughter store if you ask me. It’s not the clothes we’re after, but it’s the Home & Gifts section.

Hamburg Moments

Hamburg moments text

My husband and I just returned from yet another fantastic trip to Hamburg. I wanted to share a few where, when and what’s with you from our latest trip. We often stay in a flat, but almost always in the St. Pauli area.

Where to stay ➳ We stayed at east

Where to get your cup of coffee ➳ I would highly recommend you check out Nord Coast Coffee Roastery and less political (Hermetic coffee roasters)

When to visit the city ➳ Every single day of the year – we’ve been there spring, summer, fall and winter.

Where to get a decent burger and sweet potato fries ➳ Check out Brooklyn Burger Bar and Otto’s Burger (Try the salted caramel shake!)

Where to find food trucks ➳ Street food session Yum!

Where to shop ➳ Get away from the high streets – and explore all the cool little shops. This time I bought quite a few things in Kauf Dich Glücklich

Where to eat pizza (to die for) Das Mehl – we went there in November and loved every bite of pizza – I hope they’ll find a new location soon

What to do on a rainy day Visit Miniature Wunderland – it’s not just for kids – adults will love it too

Have a fantastic day xoxo
