There is no way around it. I simply love Christmas. I love everything about it: the buying gifts, the gift wrapping, the family traditions, the meet ups with friends and family, the decorating and so much more.

A few years back, I created an activity calendar for December. I love the idea that each day you’ll get a different task, cozy and a bit practical of course, to do. If I’d had the time, I would have done something along these lines this year, but I want to share a few ideas and a tip with you.

Activities for my Family in December

  • Drink hot chocolate
  • Watch a holiday movie together
  • Make gifts for family members
  • Bake Christmas cookies
  • Give toys to chairty
  • Read a Christmas story each day – We read the Danish book called Nisse Pok
  • Make paper snow flakes
  • Go ice skating
  • Make a gingerbread house
  • Sing Shake up Christmas and Last Christmas and dance like crazy
  • See the Christmas lighting in the city
  • Say hello to Santa
  • Listen to one of my favourite Christmas songs – Driving home for Christmas sung by Tina Dickow

4 Advent gifts for my girl

4 gifts for a girl

I’ve bought these gifts for my girl for the four Sunday’s of Advent this year. The reason why I didn’t write numbers on them, as I did with the Advent gifts for my son in this post, is because I haven’t quite decided what to give her on each Sunday.

Well the first Sunday is pretty easy. She’ll get her cubebot/ninjabot the same day as her brother. That way they can play with them together. I bought a bunch of stuff from Hay while I was attending the course in Aarhus earlier this year. A bunch of pink stuff for her room, which I know she’ll love. I haven’t decided if all the pink stuff should be one gift or several.

She has been reading her “This is London” book, and we wanted to give her a few more books in English. When I found “This is the world”, I bought it right away. I love the illustrations in these books, and we’ve been reading them to her for years. If all else fails, I’ve also got a tube scarf that I have to finish before Christmas. It could end up being her more practical gift.

4 Advent gifts for my boy

Four gifts for my boy

I’ve bought these four Advent gifts for my son this year. He’s become quite fascinated by the whole Star Wars universe, and he has an amazing ability to play for hours with one or two things. That is why I had to buy the two Lego Star Wars figures. I decided on Darth Wader and Luke Skywalker, because he can build them again and again. I’ll wrap them up and give them to him on the second and third Sunday of Advent. On the first Sunday of Advent we won’t be home, so we need to bring the present with us. Therefore, I picked out a cute cubebot/Ninjabot from Areaware, which I know he’ll love. Lastly, I went all practical as well. I bought a set of night wear from Molo as well.

What did you buy for your kids this year?

Paper goods from Blacklist studio

I’ve recently discovered the design studio Blacklist. The design studio is based in Sydney, Australia. It was founded in 2008 by husband and wife Nathan and Jaynie Johnson. Blacklist produces a range of art prints, stationery and paper goods, which I’ll show you below. I’ve picked out a few things from the collection, which I would love to have in my own home.

A grey wall and so much more…

SFD99BDC6197ED7404A8925200E7FFC450E I’m not sure where to start. This weekend I saw this home in Arsenalsgatan on Alvhem, and my eyes kept wandering to the next cool detail in this amazing home. The interior in this studio flat is so well picked out. To name a few of things that I love, I would point out the beautiful grey wall, the fantastic dark wooden floor (no more white floor for me that’s for sure), the prints on the wall and the cool workspace. But I could go on and on and on. But I’ll just leave it up to you to take it all in.

Enjoy <3
