Advent – 10 ways to do it

Advent is just around the corner. Are you ready? If now, I’ve got some last minute ideas for you. Some of them might need a bit of shopping before you can create them at home, but you’ve still got a few days left.

I ended up using my Kubus candle holder from ByLassen again this year. I like in nice and simple – also when it comes to Christmas decorations. I’m a bit of a weird Christmas freak, when it comes to decorations. Truth be told, I’m more of a winter decorations kind of gal. I’ll add snowflakes, trees, snow, glitter, silver, some black, some lights and some toy animals and cars – and then I’m ready for December

Gifts for him – Etsy edition

I love spending time looking for things on Etsy. There are so many cool items to be found. This year I’ve decided to do a few posts about what to buy for your family members on Etsy. First up is a selection of gifts for your man. I wanted to find items which my husband can use or look at every day. Advent – what to buy for the kids

I had way too many plans this last week, so I got a bit behind on the posts here on the blog. Therefore,  I’ve decided to combine two posts that I had planned. I wanted to do a post full of gift ideas for my 7 year old little guy, and then one for my tween. Due to lack of time, I’ll show you what I ended up buying for them instead. I had a hard time picking out the gifts for my little guy, but I found the last one yesterday. Now they are all wrapped up and ready for next Sunday. How about you, are you ready for Christmas?

Interior inspiration – black and white living

Today, I want to share a black and white home with you, before I’m off to watch both my kids play soccer. It’s the first tournament this winter season, and it’s usually quite fun to watch.

I can feel the Christmas spirit in the air. I’ve bought wrapping paper at Søstrene Grene, and some of the Advent gifts for the kids. I’m not quite finished, because I still need to find one last gift for each of them. I’ve got a few post planned about what to get for your kids, and hopefully I’ll have them ready soon.

It’s time for a cup of coffee and a croissant before the rest of the family wakes up.

Black and white photographs

Lately, I’ve come across some beautiful black and white photographs, which I’m seriously considering above our sofa.

The first picture I’ve found on Coco Lapine’s shop. It’s called Black Beach. It’s a beautiful picture of a rock formation touched by the ocean on the black beach, photographed in Iceland. The second is also from her shop, and it’s called Snowy Tree, which was photographed in Munich. The third picture Decordots’ shop. It’s called Rainy Day, and it’s a photo of raindrops on a window.

I’m thinking about buying them all, and then change the photographs on the wall from time to time. The Snowy Tree would be perfect this time of year.

Skandinavisk in my home

I kind of like the idea of a scent diffuser – I don’t know if it’s the minimal design, the names or simply a combination.

I’ve been avoiding scented candles for years, because I got a headache, when I had to walk past them in the different stores. The smell was simply too much for me.

However, I think I might be able to enjoy the scent diffusers in my home. I’m leaning towards Dag, Nat, Hygge, Koto or Ro. I might also be tempted to buy the small combi pack with the mini scented candles Hygge, Koto, Ro just to try it out. They’ve madet to my Christmas wishlist this year, which I’ll show you in a few posts time. Until then, I wish you a lovely Monday, and I hope your week will be nice and calm.
