Christmas Gift Guide – For Dad

The kids love to pick out presents for my husband and I. They get super excited every time, and they sure know which presents they bought for us – even years later. This year I’ve collected a few things that I know my husband would love. I’ll either go into the city with the kids, or enjoy a quiet afternoon at home with them while shopping for the perfect gift online.

My man loves cooking and baking bread. Therefore, most of the gifts this year are culinary related.  So far these items have made the list.  Gift guide for dad

Christmas inspiration

lottaheader Today, I’ve got some Christmas inspiration for you. I’m getting my dose of Christmas right now, but more about that in a later post – if you’re curious, check out Instagram. Today, I’m just going to leave you with some wonderful Christmas ideas. As you can see, I’m very much a black/white, minimalistic Christmas freak. I love a simple Christmas decor, containing snow and black, grey, glitter and a bit of green.

It is all in the interior details

AV14

We’re redecorating the dining room (again). It seems like we’ll never finish decorating this home. However, this change is for the better, I can feel it already. Prior to the change, we didn’t use the room much. We ate dinner and used the dining room table for creative projects. That was pretty much it. We only had one comfy chair in the room, so whoever got there first would be the lucky one. So we decided to make some changes. Right now we’re waiting for a new sofa to arrive, and we’ve moved the dining room table to another spot in the room.

While we get some minor things sorted out – like changing the light cords and getting rid of some books – I’ve started to collect pictures of beautiful interior details, which I’ll use for inspiration, when putting the final touch to the new room. Hopefully, we”ll be ready for Christmas Eve.  AV16 EK51 EK61 EO33 JD6

On my Christmas wishlist

While I’m busy buying gifts for the whole family and friends, I decided to pick out a few things from my own wishlist to show you.

Check out my Pinterest board right here for more inspiration and to see my ongoing wishlist. I update it from time to time during the year, and then I pick out some of the gifts I’ve collected and email the links to friends and family. Somehow, they are not as impressed by the whole Pinterest thing as me 😉 Hopefully, one day they’ll see how practical it really is.
