Limetown

I’ve been spending some quality time with my family for the last couple of days, so I haven’t made the time for blogging a priority. But today, while the kids are watching TV, and my husband is making breakfast, I want to share some of my favourite podcasts with you. And maybe you can help me find new ones as well.

Since listening to Serial last year, I’ve been subscribing to several podcasts. Right now I’m enjoying Limetown, and waiting for another round of Serial. I’m trying to listen to podcasts more – and I’m always on the lookout for new interesting ones.

Limetown – Limetown is a fictional podcast, which follows journalist Lia Haddock as she investigates the infamous disappearance of a doomed research facility. Ten years ago, over three hundred men, women and children disappeared from a small town in Tennessee. Lia Haddock asks: What happened to the people of Limetown?

Bret Easton Ellis – Controversial best-selling author and screenwriter Bret Easton Ellis delivers a weekly glimpse into one of popular culture’s most fascinating minds. I’ve been listening to the episode with Judd Nelson where he discusses e.g. The Breakfast Club with Bret Easton Ellis.

The Urbanist – Monocle – With an influential audience of city mayors, urban planners and architects, this is Monocle’s guide to making better cities, be it new technology, state-of-the-art subways or compact apartments.

Strangers – Lea Thau has created Strangers, featuring true stories about people we meet, the heartbreaks we suffer, the kindnesses we encounter, and those frightful moments when we discover that we aren’t even who we thought we were…

If you’re listening to an interesting podcast, do share it in a comment. I would love to discover more. Besides, I’m going to travel by bus for one hour every day during the next period, so I need a daily fix to get me through the drive.
