Christmas Wishlist – Teen Girl

This is the first post – Christmas Wishlist – Teen Girl –  in a series of posts about Christmas presents. Over the coming weeks I’ll show you different ideas of what to put under the Christmas tree. I plan to give you ideas of what to buy for the whole family.

I’ll kick this one off by giving you some ideas of what to buy for your teen girl. My soon to be 12 year-old girl has a long wishlist this year. It’s a good mix of clothes, music players, gadgets, books and beauty products. Just right for a girl her age. It’s fun to watch her transformation. I’ll try and collect some of her wishes here.

Advent – Still not ready – Get inspired here

Are you ready for advent? In one week we’ll light the first candle and celebrate the first advent. I haven’t created this year’s advent wreath, but hopefully, I’ll get it done this weekend. I’ve been using one of my Kubus candleholder for the past couple of years, but I’m actually considering going more ‘natural’ this year. I’m very inspired by some of the pictures below. However, I also love using my son’s Schleich animals, to make it more playful.

12 Christmas Calendars to pick from

One of the things I love about Christmas is picking out a Christmas Calendar for each of my kids. If I’m lucky, I’ll get one myself. I’ve picked out 12 different calendars this year – I wouldn’t mind getting one of them.

I’m the kind of person who would rather have a tiny piece of good chocolate than a bag of candy. The same goes for coffee – I don’t drink coffee every day at all, but when I do drink it (mostly on the weekends, I want something special. I try to teach my kids this as well. Therefore, my daughter picked a liquorice calendar two years in a row a few years back. With the little guy, it’s a bit more tricky. But like my daughter, I’m sure he’ll come around eventually. Though, she’s always been curious about different food.

This year, I’ve picked out a little bit of everything for inspiration. Underneath you’ll find dark chocolate, cosmetics, caramels, wine gums, coffee and more. I hope you find one to make those December days just a bit more cozy.

Daily countdown in December

The past 3 years we’ve had a candle from Normann Copenhagen to help us count down the days till Christmas. However, I’ve bought another candle holder for our candle this year.

First of all, I wanted a thinner candle. It was hard for us to burn the bigger candle down each day, so a thinner version is on trial this year. In mid October a candle holder from finnsdottir arrived at my door. I’d been trying to decide which one to pick for a few weeks, and I finally decided on the one with the tiny Bambi.

I’ve added a few new trees from Søstrene Grene to the decoration and I’m quite happy with the result. I’ll add a picture on Instagram, when reach the end of November. But until then, you can check out the Christmas campaign from Søstrene Grene – I bought the green and white trees. If you want even more Christmas inspiration, you should check out my board on Pinterest. But I’ll make sure to collect some of my favourite Christmas ideas in another post when we hit the end of November.

A mini-break at Ystad Saltsjöbad? – yes please…

I’m in the need of a fall mini-break abroad. We didn’t leave the country during our fall vacation, and I’m beginning to feel an itch to get the h*** out of here. I need some peace around me to recharge my batteries. Otherwise, I don’t think I’ll make it till the Christmas break 😉

Therefore, I found myself browsing the internet for places to go in November. Normally, we would go to Hamburg this time of year, but due to different circumstances, we’ll stay home this year.

But I’m thinking more along the lines of a spa break. I’ve been seeing lots and lots of pictures of what looks like amazing hours spend at Ystad Saltsjöbad. I would love to go there with my husband and just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. A dinner for two, without nonstop questions being asked by one of the kids wouldn’t be half bad either. Then a quick stop in Malmö on the way home for a bit of shopping and a good cup of coffee. Well, I don’t know about you, but it sounds like the perfect mini-break to me?

The big question now is wether or not to buy it right this minute? Or should I wait and then put it under the Christmas tree for the one I love. Actually, I’m finding it hard to decide right now. Either way, a trip in the fall season or the winter season – well it all sounds fantastic to me. I’ll ponder about if for a few days, but one thing I’m sure about is the fact that it has to be for two nights.  A long weekend would be just perfect. If you fee like a mini-break as well, check out the different deals right here. In the meantime, I’ll try and get my head around some Christmas presents, and then I’ll know what to do.

Gifts for kids – Etsy edition

Today it’s time for the gifts for kids edition. I’ve already covered gifts for him and her – and now it’s time for the kids. Etsy is full of super cute toys and stuff for the kids. I always love buying something special for the kids – something you cannot buy in the store around the corner. That is one of the main reasons why I love finding stuff on Etsy. I’ve picked out things for the kids, some for the tiny ones and some for the older ones. For more inspiration go to Etsy Editor’s Pick Page, where you’ll find more interesting gift ideas.
