I’m always reading blogs, looking at Instagram and Pinterest, reading magazines and looking into people’s houses – yup I do that, when I’m walking outside and it’s dark. It’s a great way to find inspiration. Therefore, my wishlist is an ongoing list, which I add stuff to weekly. I’ve got one on Pinterest (the visual version) and I’ve got one in a notebook.
This autumn I’ve added some really cool things to my wishlist – and most of them will probably make it to my Christmas wishlist as well. I love this season, and the excuse to add a few new things to your home. It really needs to be cozy, when you have to stay inside so much. What are the things you’re looking for that will add that cozy feeling to your home this season?
Where to find it:
#1 I’ve found this pretty cool ceramic citrus press, which I would love to test.
#2 One of the absolute highlights I’ve found this week are the photographs taken by Maria Fynsk Norup. I absolutely adore this one called Morning Flight and I would love for it to hang in my living room.
#3 This little fella is a self watering device, and it’s small and simple, which I love.
#4 Ever since we bought a new sofa I’ve been looking for pillows or pillow cases. This green pillow would add that autumn feeling, which I’m looking for.
#5 If we add a bit of paint (I’ve got some leftovers from when we painted my boy’s room this summer), this Mercury wall lamp would be fantastic in out home.
#6 I’m still obsessed with everything pinkish – and this Afternoon Chair plus dusty rose is no exception. It would look great around our new dining room table (if we ever decide to act on the current choice that is)
#7 Last but not least, I’ve had my eye on this cool wire shelf. This is such a Charlotte -item, because in my head, I can see it in every room in our home. When that happens, I keep thinking about the item, and that when I know I’ll be happy every time I look at it.

Today, I’ve got some Christmas inspiration for you. I’m getting my dose of Christmas right now, but more about that in a later post – if you’re curious, check out Instagram. Today, I’m just going to leave you with some wonderful Christmas ideas. As you can see, I’m very much a black/white, minimalistic Christmas freak. I love a simple Christmas decor, containing snow and black, grey, glitter and a bit of green.

… and if you’re into cool design, you’ll love these solutions as well. I’m really inspired by these solutions – and it’s just the kind of inspiration I need right now. I want to make a few changes in my home this winter – and I might go for the little house solution shown here either as a bed or a small desk space.

I’m still a bit crazy about the String system. Even though my husband has asked me not to buy another String shelf for our home – I still enjoy looking at pictures of other people’s String systems. These ones caught my eye this weekend.
First of all, Happy Easter from Aalborg. I hope you’re enjoying some time with your family and loved ones.
I’ve been keeping busy at home for almost a week now. It’s my Easter vacation, and the four of us are enjoying spending time at home, visiting friends, staying up late, cooking new dishes and cakes and of course redecorating our home.
After a much needed spring cleaning, I can now concentrate on moving things around in our home – trying out different spots and creating new installations. I’m loving it.
Right now we’re in the middle of a kitchen make-over. We’ve hated the kitchen ever since we saw the home for the first time. So we were never in doubt about the future of it. We just needed to live and cook in it for some time, before deciding on what to keep and what to change.
We decided on painting our kitchen cabinets instead of getting a whole new kitchen. In less than a week our kitchen will be grey. We decided on the same shade of grey (grey ral 7004) as the String shelves. A large blackboard is also in the making right now.
Our rood top terrace is also on our list before heading back to work again. We’ve bought fresh herbs and an olive tree, and after another round of oil we’re ready to dig out the Garpen lounge furniture we bought at Ikea last year. I cannot wait to sit out there at night, reading and enjoying a cold drink. You can see pictures from last year right here, here and here.
Today, I’m also getting ready for yet another round of Blogging Your Way. This time our co-teacher will be Tina Fussell from Traveling Mama. I’ve been reading her blog for ages, and she’s such an inspiration. I love seeing Copenhagen through her eyes. I cannot wait for class to start on Monday.
I’ve been a very lucky girl this season. In the last days of December, we bought a few beautiful design icons for our home. Some of them have been on my wish list for years. I cannot wait for the last things to arrive.
Along with some of our Christmas presents, well now our dining room/my work corner/ our library is coming together. I’ve hated this part of our home ever since we moved in, because we hadn’t found a proper solution yet.
But now I enjoy walking into the room, and I can actually relax, when I’m in here reading or simply relaxing. I don’t get lost in thoughts like “Oh, we could add this piece of furniture in here, or this painting”. It’s a wonderful feeling.
