Sweet Paul – fall issue

The latest issue of Sweet Paul brought tears to my eyes. The issue is dedicated to his mother, who passed away recently.

It was so touching to read his memories of the morning when they had played in the snow and made hot cocoa with whipped cream afterwards. This is the kind of memory I wish everyone has.

The issue is fantastic – as always. And I’ll share with you my favourite part.

You can read the entire issue right here.

Magazine overload

Are you ready for a magazine overload? Start the weekend with lots of cool e-magazines. Have a glass of wine or a cup of coffee and relax. I promise you, you’ll find something you like in this post.

The first one is Est – Global Living with an Australian twist. This is the first issue, and I can’t wait to follow this magazine. I just love the fact that so many e-magazines are seeing the light of day.

Read the entire magazine right here. And don’t you just love the three decorating tips featuring an Eames chair? I’m already a fan.

And while we’re at it, here’s another inspiring magazine for you. Adore is also from down under. This is the sweet dreams issue, for those of us, who still need to find a proper solution for decorating our bedroom. I’m inspired already. Read the entire magazine right here.

The last one is Rue magazine. I just want to grab a blanket and a basket full of nice food and eat outside, when I see this kind of cover.

Read the entire issue of Rue right here. There’s lots more inspiration to be found. I’ve just picked out a few of my favourite pages here.

This is it for me tonight. Have a nice Friday night hopefully surrounded by great friends and family. I’ll write a few more posts tomorrow, because it’s been an inspiring week.

Magazine Sunday – part 2

When it comes to decorating, I find inspiration from all sorts of places. I look through thousands of magazines every year, watch TV, and take in my surroundings. Ivy & piper is one of the magazines I read online.

Although, I don’t have the same style in my home (mine is very Scandinavian), I still enjoy reading a magazine, with a whole other decorating style. In this issue of Ivy & Piper, I noticed the lovely calendar – it’s very colorfull, which I love, and very festive.

Collages always inspire me – and this one fits my mood this morning. It’s funny, because I really like a wall like this. I just don’t think I could create one in my own home. When it comes down to it, I think I’m a bit too simple for this kind of decorating. But luckily for me, I can enjoy pictures like this one, without having to create one myself.

Magazine Sunday – part 1

My son is sick (and sleeping), so this morning I had some time in front of the computer. Going through my mails, I found 4 mails reminding me that some of my favourite e-magazines are once again online. So I’ve been catching up big time. I want to share with you, some of my favourite parts from each magazine.

What I like about this home is the simplicity of it all. It’s very organized, just take a look at the closet full of shoes. I love the graphic effect of the photos on the door. It’s very decorative, and it serves a purpose.

You know that I have a very soft spot when it comes to books, and I notice almost every detail, when books are used as decoration. Again, it’s a very simple solution, but the effect is worth noticing. I always have a stack of books beside my bed, and I’ve been thinking about this kind of solution for a long time.

If you have the time, make yourself a good cup of coffee, sit back and enjoy this lovely home. And I’ll be back in just a few minutes with another interesting magazine for you to read. Follow this link to read the entire issue of Covet Garden.

Sweet Paul for the kids

With two kids in the house I looked forward to a little time alone with the latest issue of Sweet Paul and my Mac. I’ve been doing my assignment for week one (Holly from Decor8’s Blogging Your Way e-course) and now I have a little spare time while the little one is asleep. Here’s some of the pages within the magazine that I find very interesting. It’s always exciting to see how Paul styles the food. This time I think my favourite is the one with the cuttings from books (playing with your food).
