August is full of birthdays in my family. But first of all, I hope you’ve had an amazing summer. As you can see, I didn’t blog during my vacation, so I’m ready to share some awesome inspiration with you here again. In short, despite the terrible weather here in Denmark, my summer vacation wasn’t that bad. We mostly stayed here in Denmark, but also enjoyed a few days in lovely Gothenburg in Sweden. For the first time in 5 years, we didn’t re-book Svendborg/Christiansminde for the summer of 2018. Hopefully, we’ll travel through Europe next year, and explore some beautiful cities along the way. I’ll let you know, when we start planning the trip.
I’ve got a birthday coming up this month and in order to help some desperate souls out there, I’ve collected a few items for inspiration. You can also check out my Pinterest board for more wishes.

My girl turned 10 years old in January. Back then she decided that she wanted a summer party in our garden instead of a birthday party during the cold winter.
I was perfectly fine with that solution (truth be told, I’m more than okay with that solution), and these days we’re planning the party, printing out stuff and deciding on what food to make. It’s a fun mother-daughter activity.
Here’s a selection of the things she wanted to buy at Urban Outfitters for the party.
1. Swan Pool Float
2. Pineapple Ice Cube Tray
3. Corn on the Cob Skewer set
4. Pineapple To-Go Sipper Cup
5. Watermelon Beach Ball
6. Flamingo Ice Cube tray
7. Watermelon Sipper Cup
8. Flamingo Watering Can
9. Cactus light
For more inspiration check out my pinterest board Party Moments. I’ll share some ideas about the food in another post.
This week my little guy turns six years old. Wow! We want to throw a big party in our garden, with lots of treats and cake, fun and games, and a walk along the fjord, to look at all the ships. The coming weekend is all about ships here in Aalborg with the Tall Ships Races 2015. But the main event is of course his birthday party. Here are some of the ideas I’ve collected for they party.
A Smores Brownie Pie from Averie Cooks
A pretty number 6 from Søstrene Grene
Amazing watermelon printable ice cream cone wrappers from Design Eat Repeat
Party popcorn She wears many hats
Lots and lots of fruit. Maybe like these from Trendenser
Frozen banana pops from Sugar Hero
This weekend my little boy turned 5 years old. It was a wonderful day for all of us. We played with the new Lego Batmobile and plane and the racing set for most of the day. His grandmother and grandfather came to visit and it was time for his cake. After that we went into the city to watch a cycling race. My little man loved it.
I’m sticking to the superhero-theme a little longer, because I’ve been wanting to show you these prints from My Deer Art Shop. I’m so in love with the Zorro-dog.
