Wow, I’ve been looking forward to this Friday for a while now. Not that the last couple of weeks haven’t been interesting – in fact, they’ve been some of the best weeks in a long time. But today it’s vacation time!
It’s time for our Easter break. We’re not going anywhere – we decided to cancel Hamburg this year – in favor of going all in on our trip to London later on. So we’ve got a week ahead of us, filled with family time, visiting friends and family and just relaxing and enjoying some time off. It’s actually kind of perfect.
The home tour I’ll leave you with today, well it’s been open in my browser for quite some time, and every time I click on it, I fall in love with this townhouse all over again. I hope you’ll feel inspired too. Have a lovely weekend <3

Meet SPÄNST by Chris Stamp and IKEA. Now this is a collaboration I’m looking forward to. It’s minimalistic, cool and very street. For SPÄNST IKEA has teamed up with U.S. fashion designer Chris Stamp. I hadn’t heard about Stamp before, but I’ve been reading up on the guy. In an interview with IKEA Today he said:
Fashion and furniture are different animals but the creative process is similar. You have to burn to be good. You have to be inspired and be able to inspire people around you. The tricky part, whether you’re designing a hoodie or a shoe rack, is to get the details right. The details tell people what your brand is all about and make your product exciting and sought after.
I love this way of thinking. I love it when I discover that little extra attention to details. That’s when I know that the person behind has actually given it some thought.
As always, I’ve collected some of the things on my wishlist – and I cannot wait to hit the nearest IKEA store in the beginning of May and check it all out in real life. Hopefully, I’ll find bring a few of the items with me home. I’ve got my eyes set on the indoor basketball net, it would be so very cool in my boy’s room along with the fluorescent lamps. I think I’ll bring home the throw pillows for our sofa. We’re always in need of at least one more in order for it to be real cozy. The good news is that most of the items fit my criteria of always being “movable” – I mean that in terms of the possibility that the object can be used in every room in our home. Check out the entire collection here – the text is in Danish, but you can still check out the items.
Not blogging that’s for sure. But I’ve missed it so much, and it’s the same every time I take a break (voluntarily or not) I end up missing this place a lot.
For the past 3 months, I’ve been studying to get a diploma in Digital marketing and getting numerous Google certifications. It’s been hard work, and last week I aced the exam. Hopefully, I’ll be able to find a job within this field of work. I’m willing to work freelance, part time and full time, I just really want to contribute to something meaningful. So if you know anyone, got a small business yourself or you’re looking to hire someone like me – check out my profile on LinkedIn. And let’s have a talk.
Making room for storage in our daughter’s room
Apart from studying, I’m also planning a bit of a project at home. In the next couple of weeks, we’ll be redecorating our daughter’s room (again). Due to some minor problems, we need to remove her closet and give that corner some air. Therefore, we decided to go with the solution we picked for our boy’s room. It’s simple, looks amazing, and perfect for storage. We’ve bought the cabinets from Ikea, and our hallway is now filled with boxes, waiting to be assembled. Great when we’ve got a few birthday parties coming up.
I still remember seeing this blog post many years ago and loving every detail of it the cabinets. It took me some time, but I finally convinced my husband that it would be perfect for our boy’s room. Since we’re doing something similar in our girl’s room, well we haven’t regretted it once. Now there’s just the hard work ahead of us – but I cannot wait to decorate and add some finishing touches in there. I hope it’ll last a bit longer this time around.
Yesterday, I came across this grey Godmorgon bathroom cabinet from IKEA, which I really like. I’ve been looking at different solutions for our bathroom for years. I dream about doing it all over again. I would love to be able to see our touch and feel our ideas in there. I know that I would enjoy it every time I walk in there. I would love once and for all to change the 90s feel to it, and make it more simple and fit for a family of four.
Having bought a home, which a father and his son renovated in the early 90s, well lets just say, I could make a long list of things that either doesn’t work in reality, or looks horrible. Little by little we change all these things, and hopefully we’ll get to the bathroom in 2018. If not all of it, then at least make a few small changes.
I’m not crazy about the table top solution, or to be honest, I would have to have a look at in real life to make up my mind. But for the past two years, I’ve been dreaming about making our own table top. First I was crazy about a concrete one, but I think I’ll end up with something a little lighter.
But now I know, what to look for the next time I’m in IKEA.

It’s time for some real home inspiration again. I’ve been focusing a bit too much on the lifestyle part of this blog lately, and I haven’t shared some inspiring photos of lovely homes in a while.
But today is the day. I’ve collected a few favourites for you, and hope you’ll start your weekend full of inspiration. As you can see, I’m not quite finished with the grey scale interior, if I ever will be. I love stylings like these, and would love for my own home to look just a fraction like these. I’ll keep dreaming and collecting images for inspiration. Have a wonderful weekend <3

I’m always reading blogs, looking at Instagram and Pinterest, reading magazines and looking into people’s houses – yup I do that, when I’m walking outside and it’s dark. It’s a great way to find inspiration. Therefore, my wishlist is an ongoing list, which I add stuff to weekly. I’ve got one on Pinterest (the visual version) and I’ve got one in a notebook.
This autumn I’ve added some really cool things to my wishlist – and most of them will probably make it to my Christmas wishlist as well. I love this season, and the excuse to add a few new things to your home. It really needs to be cozy, when you have to stay inside so much. What are the things you’re looking for that will add that cozy feeling to your home this season?
Where to find it:
#1 I’ve found this pretty cool ceramic citrus press, which I would love to test.
#2 One of the absolute highlights I’ve found this week are the photographs taken by Maria Fynsk Norup. I absolutely adore this one called Morning Flight and I would love for it to hang in my living room.
#3 This little fella is a self watering device, and it’s small and simple, which I love.
#4 Ever since we bought a new sofa I’ve been looking for pillows or pillow cases. This green pillow would add that autumn feeling, which I’m looking for.
#5 If we add a bit of paint (I’ve got some leftovers from when we painted my boy’s room this summer), this Mercury wall lamp would be fantastic in out home.
#6 I’m still obsessed with everything pinkish – and this Afternoon Chair plus dusty rose is no exception. It would look great around our new dining room table (if we ever decide to act on the current choice that is)
#7 Last but not least, I’ve had my eye on this cool wire shelf. This is such a Charlotte -item, because in my head, I can see it in every room in our home. When that happens, I keep thinking about the item, and that when I know I’ll be happy every time I look at it.
