This is my dream kitchen. Our kitchen was build in the 1990s by a father and his son. To be honest, they had horrible taste – but I’m also quite sure that taste wasn’t the issue – cost was. It’s an everyday hassle, when you have to cook for a family in our kitchen. That’s why a new kitchen is on top of my wishlist.
We’ve made a few changes already, but the long haul is still ahead of us. We’ve created a kitchen island using fronts from IKEA – like the ones seen in these pictures. I love the light grey color, and the more I think about it, the more I’m leaning towards a total makeover using these fronts. It’s nice and simple, and I keep returning to pictures like these, when I’m looking for inspiration.

The other day, I was reading through some of my favourite blogs – and I came across this beautiful rustic home. I could start writing about all the things I love about this place (eg. the cool chair/sofa with the cute dog in it) or I could simply just end it here, and let you enjoy this home for yourself.
Have a fantastic day <3

I’ll make a quick stop here today to show you some beautiful black and white stylings from an amazing Swedish home. I hope you like them. I’m crazy in love with the kitchen, and would love to do a concrete kitchen countertop myself. We’re planning to paint our old kitchen, so who knows, maybe we’ll end up with a countertop like this one.
