Urban Shopping with a tween

Shopping, shopping and more shopping. Later this year we’re going to Copenhagen with the kids. The first thing my daughter said was YES! then we can go to Urban Outfitters. She loves the store and she could easily buy the first 100 items there.

To kill time we hit the online shop for inspiration – and then she could make a wishlist of the things she would like to buy. Truth be told, I kind of like some of the things as well, so I don’t mind going in there with her, and a few of the things could end up on my wishlist as well. It’s the perfect mother-daughter store if you ask me. It’s not the clothes we’re after, but it’s the Home & Gifts section.

Getting ready for winter – mom edition

Today, I’m getting ready for winter – it’s the mom edition. I’m pretty sure I’m not alone, when it comes to being last in line, when it’s time to buy practical stuff like warm clothes for the winter? I’ve made sure that the kids will be fully dressed and ready for winter – check out my kids edition from last week – and now it’s my turn.

What to add this year?
This year I need to add a few things to my wardrobe. I’ve got the basics covered. An okay winter jacket – even though it’s a few years old, I’ve got warm boots as well. However, I would love to upgrade just a bit. I want to add both practical pieces, which I know will keep me warm and dry, but I also want them to look good. That’s the eternal problem, if you ask me.

My Etsy finds

On this wonderful Sunday, I’ve picked out a few cool finds, which I’ve found in different Etsy shops. This time I’ve selected things I would love to add to our own home. You can never get too many mugs, and the But first coffee mug, would be a cool mug for an office. I’m still adding plants to our home, and I loved the set of hex spora at first sight. Also, I’m never able to find doormats that I like, but the sparkle one is actually quite perfect.

I’ve been thinking about knitting a large blanket like the grey one. But I’m more tempted to buy it this time, and start knitting something else instead. The pillow case and the picture would look good in my cozy corner.

Picking out clothes with your tween – a wishlist

I mentioned earlier that my little girl turns 10 years old this month. She’s starting to care more about which clothes we buy, and she likes to try out different outfits. It’s so adorable seeing her grow in size, but also as a person.

Clothes girl

I’ve collected a few pieces of clothing from her wishlist, all of which she carefully picked out herself.

1. Blouse with lots of stars from Petit by Sofie Schnoor
2. Nitela limited slim fit jeans from Name it
3. Cloud bag from Zara
4. Cool ‘leather’ jacket from Zara
5. Misty grey Alaine jeans from Molo
6. Cool black boots with some pretty cool details from Zara
7. Peggy Knit from Soft Gallery
8. Super cute bag from Zara – I might have to get one for myself as well

A Hamburg state of mind

I’m in a Hamburg state of mind and I cannot wait to visit the amazing city again soon. This time I’ll introduce my 7 year old girl to the city.

This would be my ultimate collection of great things to pack – except for the concrete diamond of course. But it just reminds me of Hamburg. In many ways Hamburg is just that – an beautiful diamond made of concrete.

All the pictures (except the Wallpaper guide) can be found on my Pinterest boards.

Magasin Living

I’m home again after another day at work and I’m browsing through the catalogue Magasin Living. I’m in the mood for shopping – and I think I’ve found the perfect place.

I’ve spotted a few interesting things in the catalogue. Take the new Lego boxes for example. They might not be new, however, I haven’t seen them in these colours before. I really like these, because they are a bit more neutral. I might actually consider buying these for the kids for Christmas.

Skærmbillede 2013-09-30 kl. 17.01.34 I also saved the picture of this beautiful desk. I like to be organised, and I like it when there’s a spot for (almost) everything. I need to get a few more things in order to feel at home when I’m working from home. To view the entire catalogue just click here.
