Home inspiration for your weekend

wall via planete deco

It’s time for some real home inspiration again. I’ve been focusing a bit too much on the lifestyle part of this blog lately, and I haven’t shared some inspiring photos of lovely homes in a while.

But today is the day. I’ve collected a few favourites for you, and hope you’ll start your weekend full of inspiration. As you can see, I’m not quite finished with the grey scale interior, if I ever will be. I love stylings like these, and would love for my own home to look just a fraction like these. I’ll keep dreaming and collecting images for inspiration. Have a wonderful weekend <3

A mini-break at Ystad Saltsjöbad? – yes please…

MG_2314.CR2-3559210542-O

I’m in the need of a fall mini-break abroad. We didn’t leave the country during our fall vacation, and I’m beginning to feel an itch to get the h*** out of here. I need some peace around me to recharge my batteries. Otherwise, I don’t think I’ll make it till the Christmas break 😉

Therefore, I found myself browsing the internet for places to go in November. Normally, we would go to Hamburg this time of year, but due to different circumstances, we’ll stay home this year.

But I’m thinking more along the lines of a spa break. I’ve been seeing lots and lots of pictures of what looks like amazing hours spend at Ystad Saltsjöbad. I would love to go there with my husband and just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. A dinner for two, without nonstop questions being asked by one of the kids wouldn’t be half bad either. Then a quick stop in Malmö on the way home for a bit of shopping and a good cup of coffee. Well, I don’t know about you, but it sounds like the perfect mini-break to me?

The big question now is wether or not to buy it right this minute? Or should I wait and then put it under the Christmas tree for the one I love. Actually, I’m finding it hard to decide right now. Either way, a trip in the fall season or the winter season – well it all sounds fantastic to me. I’ll ponder about if for a few days, but one thing I’m sure about is the fact that it has to be for two nights.  A long weekend would be just perfect. If you fee like a mini-break as well, check out the different deals right here. In the meantime, I’ll try and get my head around some Christmas presents, and then I’ll know what to do.

10 cool things to shop at Lagerhaus

This summer we enjoyed a few days in Sweden in the city of Gothenburg. We love coming there and most of the time we just walk around the city and enjoy a quiet afternoon in the park. The kids love it there, and we always find some exciting new spots. I don’t know why we haven’t been inside a Lagerhaus shop before (Big mistake, huge mistake, as Julia Roberts said in Pretty Woman – without further similarities to that movie) We actually went in there just to get a bottle of water, and an hour later we came out. I could have bought much more that we actually did, and so could my daughter. I guess we know where that came from.

When I was looking for tableware for our Minecraft party for my boy, I found myself browsing through their online shop. I ended up not buying anything, but quite a few things ended in my “wannabe” basked. Here’s a look at some of the things, which may or may not end in my actual shopping basket and even make it all the way to the checkout.

Swedish living

I’m loving so many things about this Swedish home. I’m ready to try out a raw wall in the kitchen, hang new prints on the walls, buy new chairs from Menu, paint the kitchen grey (and the bathroom as well), find out where to buy the cool storage solution above the workspace, buy even more plants, and I could go on and on.

A black and white family home

I’ve got one more thing I want to share with you today, besides from my Easter egg craving, which I wrote about in my previous post today. Last weekend, I came across this beautiful family home in Sweden. I really love some of the ideas, like the grey stools. I’ve got some from Ikea that would look great in different shades of grey. The kid’s room os also pretty cool, if you ask me. They’ve found some cool toys for that kid. Black and White interior

I’ll make a quick stop here today to show you some beautiful black and white stylings from an amazing Swedish home. I hope you like them. I’m crazy in love with the kitchen, and would love to do a concrete kitchen countertop myself. We’re planning to paint our old kitchen, so who knows, maybe we’ll end up with a countertop like this one.
